Good Morning, Good Morning

We're up at 5:43 this morning, neither Brad or I can sleep.  So we filled up the wood for the wood burning stove, lit that, had somethings to drink, I had some kool-aid, cherry flavored, he had some chocolate milk.  Dh is still asleep.  We're trying to keep it quiet until he has to go to work.

Well dh has left for work.  I managed to make some coffee, it wasn't to bad.  I just winged it, cause I'm having such a difficult time remembering things.

To make a long story short, I had a seizure, and lost my abilities to remember fully.  Now I'm back, and I'm finding out all these things that I didn't know were going on.  Like being here, and  being able to share whats going on is scattered.   So if you know me, and want to tell me something about something we shared before, please feel free to post it.  I'd be happy to hear from you, especially since I'm challenged at knowing anyone or thing currently.

Deb,
Haven't been following anyone's blog -even my own- for months. Just stopped in here to catch up.

Wow. You are in my prayers. Sometimes we get so caught up in our own little lives and tales of woe that we forget there are other people out there going through difficulties, too.

As for public schooling, we had both great and horrible times at the same school. I always wanted to homeschool my son, but when he was due to begin schooling (by date/age - according to the precepts held tightly by my ex), it was just three months after our daughter had died and I was not quite ready. With prayer, he got the best teacher for kindergarten. I could not have interviewed and hand picked a better teacher for him.

His first grade teacher was a bit tougher on him, but loved him dearly. We started homeschooling in second grade and "dh" decided to leave and said we had to put him back in public school and told me to get a job.

He's an army officer, so he had to continue to support us and did for a time. Our son only spent five weeks in that second grade classroom. The teacher was a nightmare. Parent's were pulling their children out of her class. Kids went home crying at the end of the day... I brought my son home and never looked back.

We did have to move back near my parents so I can use what money the ex sends, hold a part time job, and homeschool. The move has not been an easy adjustment, but we are doing well.

Just take my experiences as proof that public school education can be good or bad. In my opinion, it is mostly dependent on the child's teachers and principle.

Praying for your recovery.

Blessings,

Sherry
